Thoughts and Non Thoughts

I had the pleasure of meeting a person who is doing something he is passionate about. His passion is helping people be the best that they can be. He has been doing this for more than thirty years and still loves doing it. And he continues to love learning as much as teaching. Isn't it something we all aspire for - to be able to devote our life to something that means the most to us?

A pause can precede a step back or a leap forward. Or it can be a chance to simply look around before resuming one's gait.

I've been slow in writing on this blog. It's because life has been fast but time has been scarce. Things have been happening. (I scored decently - for me - in my last golf round, so it looks like the slump is not permanent.) Got sick over the weekend. (Feeling better now but still a sore right knee.) Work has been really hectic this week so far. Another meeting later tonight with the village BOD. The world is moving fast but time is flying slow. Met with a couple of former colleagues and spent a couple of hours reminiscing and laughing at our adventures and misadventures. It's nice to see a glimpse of the past while standing on the bridge to the future. Events have a way of making time take a loop. It's my 98th post this year. It's a couple more posts to a hundred, but I feel no need to hurry. Halloween is round the corner and Christmas is not far away. They will get here at their own pace. Great putt by McDowell on the 16th. Both teams played well, the US making a strong comeback on the last day. But the two-point lead was too much to overcome, and the Europeans held their nerves.
