Still Can’t Cast Videos from Facebook

Even after ipadOS 14.0.1 the cast button (Chromecast) on Facebook still doesn’t work. Seems like a widespread problem.

IPadOS 14, a User’s Initial Impressions

Got a few days with iOS 14 for the iPhone and iPadOS for the iPad Air (2019). So far quite happy with the iPhone. This post is on the iPad experience. The widgets are slicker and more useful. There were widgets before but I didn’t use them much. This new version is more user friendly and dynamic. Privacy settings are more transparent. I really like that I am asked to provide permission for apps to access photos, camera, the local network, etc.. After watching “The Social Dilemma” it somehow gives me a little sense of “control.”  The only problem I encountered was the casting to Chromecast on Facebook. The cast button doesn’t seem to work. I encountered the same problem with the iPhone initially but was able to get it to work. I couldn’t get it to work on the iPad Air. Maybe it’s the Facebook app as it works perfectly with Netflix. One thing I miss is the App Library. It is really helpful on the iPhone to tidy things up. Too bad it’s not on the iPad Air. I also am excited about Scribble

Is the Wolff Taking Over the Tiger?

After three rounds at the US Open, Matthew Wolf leads at 5 under. Meanwhile Tiger Woods failed to make the cut. Is it the changing of the guards? A new king of the golf jungle? In golf one never knows. It’s going to be an exciting final round. Whatever happens, the winner is professional golf and competitive sports in general. After the success of the US Open (Tennis), the US Open (Golf) shows that the world can adapt and move forward.
